Learn to cut metal using an oxy-acetylene torch and plasma cutter.  You will learn the safety practices with these tools and their gasses and then will practice with the cutters and cut a design into metal to create a piece of yard or wall art using found metal pieces. Safety gear provided.

This class is for teens 13-18. Requires registration and waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Solid closed-toe shoes, jeans or workpants and long sleeved shirts are required dress. A bandana or sock hat to wear under the helmet is optional. All garments should be OK to potentially damage. Scholarships available- contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Eliminate the fear factor and learn to weld!  This hands-on class for teens will teach the use of MIG (wire feed) welding machines as well as the use of basic metal fabrication tools - grinders, chop saws, files, etc. Each student will go home with their own handmade metal sculpture. Safety instruction and safety gear included.
